This Privacy Policy explains how FarmLoop (“FarmLoop”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the FarmLoop mobile app and services. FarmLoop is a marketplace that connects people buying and selling local farm produce in Ireland.

Information we collect

• Account info — your name, email address, and a user ID we assign to your account.
• Location — approximate location (such as an area or Eircode you enter) and, if you allow it, your precise device location to find listings near you.
• Listings & content — listings, photos, and other content you create or upload.
• Messages — in-app messages you send to and receive from other users.
• App activity — app interactions, in-app search history, and content you generate while using the app.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• To provide core features — showing nearby listings, letting you post produce, and enabling buyers and sellers to message each other.
• To personalise what you see, such as relevant local listings.
• To keep FarmLoop safe — preventing fraud and abuse, and reviewing reported or blocked users and content.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. Information you choose to make public — such as your listings, seller profile, and photos — is visible to other FarmLoop users. Messages are shared only with the user you send them to. We may share data with service providers who help us run the app (for example, hosting and email delivery), and where required by law.

Data security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored securely. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your rights & deleting your account

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — in the app under Profile → Delete my account, or by emailing us. For full details, see our Delete your account page. You may also request a copy of your data by contacting us.

Children

FarmLoop is intended for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
